I just received the following e-mail from "soos" the proprietor of the store on Islesford:

Subject: Deer Meeting Help for Islesford
Date: Friday, January 21, 2000 9:41 AM

Hello Everyone
This is soos
As you know if you spend any time on our island that we have a serious deer problem and now have confirmed the presence of the deer tick on our island...With Lyme disease as a concern as well as herd health and our vegetation being over consumed if you will, we are hoping that enacting an established deer hunting season in the Town of Cranberry Isles will go far to help us.

If you visit the web site there is information asking you to call an 800 number and voice your support of this bill. Please do it as soon as possible as there will be a meeting in Augusta on the morning of the 25th and we need all the help we can get. It will be helpful if you give

the bill number
L.D. 2386

and it may help to mention
Representative VOLENIK
Representative DUNLAP
Representative STANWOOD

I understand that your message will be sent on to all these names as well by calling just the one number.

You will be asked to leave your name, town and phone number. If you are a summer person you can say Cranberry Isles and leave your out of state phone number....

Thank you so much for your help and support
Please forward this to others whose email addresses i do not have
