Spring 2002 Update
Cranberry Isles Realty Trust is pleased to report steady progress at creating new year-round housing opportunities in our town.
ISLESFORD: Rob and Katya Mocarsky will be tenants in the Islesford House. After a well is drilled, they should be able to move in. Rob is a former Islesford teacher. CIRT received a grant from the Maine Association of Realtors Foundation towards the cost of the well. Home Depot donated a refrigerator and water heater.
GREAT CRANBERRY: Improvements to the Kane House began soon after the lawsuit between the Town and Phil Whitney was settled in March. A well was drilled at the Kane House this spring. The well has adequate water flow to support a second house, if and when CIRT decides to build on the adjoining lot. CIRT has applied for two grants to help cover the expense of extensive renovations needed at the Kane House: plumbing, electric, septic, heat, appliances, interior work, and landscaping. CIRT is happy to have Ginger and Jennifer Cook as tenants in the Rice House.
CONTRIBUTIONS NEEDED: We hope you can make a donation to support rehabilitation of the Kane House.
If you have questions or comments, please get in touch or come to the Annual Meeting on June 12th at 3:15 p.m. at the Islesford Neighborhood House. For more information call David Thomas at 244-5876.
