The current Rome & Glaser residence. Notice the three white conch shells on the far left of the porch; some captain must have brought them from the Caribbean. It was a common custom to place conch shells on gravesites, especially of sea captains, so they would always be able to hear the sea.
The house with porch visible on the left is no longer there.
