Blue Lobster Caught

Great Cranberry Island, Maine, 7 Oct 2005 -- Lindon Colby, a fisherman for 35 years, today caught his first blue lobster. He and sternman Russell Wedge were surprised and excited to pull in one of these rare specimens out of Spurling Cove, right off Great Cranberry Island.
They got on the radio right away and raced back to the town dock on the same cove, to show their island friends their once-in-a-lifetime catch.
There was a gang waiting for them as they landed, and quite a few people got photos.
The lobster proved to be "short" (too small to be legally kept), and had to be thrown back into Spurling Cove.
